Our Whit-a-Bit turned 2 on Monday. I can't believe our cute little funny attitude queen is already 2. Sometimes I feel like she really can't be that old already; other times it's hard to even remember life before she was here. Whitney is such a great little girl.
I don't think she really understood all of the fuss we were making about her birthday or why she kept having to talk on the phone to everyone all day. But, when those presents came out, she started to understand pretty quickly. She got some great snap girls and snap dogs, a Princess tea set, an Elmo book/doll and some other great stuff too.
Our birthday tradition is letting the birthday person pick what's for dinner. Since Whit normally eats little or none of her dinner we thought about fasting but then decided to go with a few of her favorite foods. She got waffles, chips and apple juice--she was in heaven and actually ate!!
The second we started singing "Happy Birthday" while she was sitting in front of her cake, Whitney's face began beaming--it was the cutest thing ever. It was like she finally got that everything was all about her.

seriously... if you look at those b-day pictures of whitney and the profile picture you have of mary on the side of your blog, they are like twins. Yikes! when did Whit get so big? oh. yeah and super cute cake!
I was actually noticing how much Whit and Mary look alike, too. Too cute and too fun. I love that look on a kid's face when they finally figure something out. There's not much better than that. Wish the birthday girl a happy birthday from me. I actually meant to try to make a card for her but luckily she's young enough she won't know any different. Maybe I'll do better next year...
