It's A Beautful Day!

We've actually had a few beautiful days--weather in the 50s.
Some snow has melted and though there is still a ton, it's been happy.

I've enjoyed seeing people out shoveling in t-shirts, we've broken up the 5 foot ice section at the end of the driveway, we can even see about a foot of grass all around the edge of the house, the roof is snow-less. and I can even practicially see if cars are coming when I am backing out of the driveway. Of course todays high is like 30 degrees (ugh!), but I thought I'd add a few pictures of life lately to show some of what we've been up to.

Valentine's Day!!!
The kids were happy and loved their valentine exchanges at school. We got them a little bit of candy (not as much as normal and I was missing the chocolate :) ) and some new legos. That's pretty much all anyone has played with all week. We did our traditional cookie decorating...fun fun.

Whit and Dad making some delicious treats!

Our friend, Chantoeun, came over and spent the evening with us. Annie was the biggest show off ever, it was cute.

In other news, I finally took a picture of what I see every time Whitney and Annie get out of the bath. They wrap up in their hooded towels, run to their room and get down just like this.

In other news, the obsession continues...we've moved from Narnia to Star Wars these days. The kids have been reading the books and seem to know more facts than normal people should about Star Wars. We even watch Wierd Al's Star Wars songs on youtube. Sometimes I wonder if this is really my life.
I keep cracking up though b/c Mary will show Matt something in one of the books or the kids will tell him something they've learned about Star Wars and he'll say "That's totally made up." My reply is always "IT'S ALL TOTALLY MADE UP!!!!" Apparently Matt distinguishes between what is in the movies and what is added in the books as reality and fiction. Again, I wonder if this is really my life.

In other news (and more awesome than Star Wars I might add) we took down Annie's crib today. Here's my toddler bed girl napping....so sweet. She calls it her "princess bed." Thought we'd adjust her to this before we get her and Whitney bunk beds b/c I think we'll be rearranging bedrooms when we do--this way we won't be rearranging and suddenly having no crib on the same day.
