THE ZOO
A trip to St. Louis wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Zoo. Except for when we were in Argentina, our kids have never been to any zoo except the St. Louis one. Why? Because it is FREE and after going to a great zoo that is free one's whole life, why would you ever consider paying?
We went with their cousins, Hailey, Brenton, and Ethan. On the drive home when I asked, "what was your favorite part of the zoo?" the response was "being with our cousins." That seemed to be the response to most anything we did. Next trip we might just stick them in a room with the cousins for 10 days--I think they'd be happy.

The kids were lovin' walking with Aunt Kellie. Matt and I thought it was our perfect chance to run but then realized we still had the other two with us....maybe in a few years. :)
A zoo trip isn't complete without a picture by the big gorilla. Andrew's looking a bit bummed b/c I wouldn't let him get on top. Horrible mother, I know.

I agree Cara, why pay for a zoo when the StL spoils you for all others? Great pics of everyone.
did you know the washington, d.c. zoo is free, too (at least it was when i was a kid).
