Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis (part1)

Vacation time at the Singer home!! We went back to St. Louis to visit my side of the family...and we pretty much got to see everyone! We left on Saturday, July 11th and drove, and drove, and drove (though our 20 hours in the car seems so small compared to our friends who drove to Utah at the same time as us--we just never get to look the most tough, do we?)
The trip was 2 1/2 weeks of jam packed fun. I'll have 5 or 6 posts after all the blogging is done. Let's start with the drive. With 4 little kids in a van for 2 days, you are sure to have some awesome memories, and we did.

Somewhere before we even got out of the state of Connecticut we came across my favorite motorcycle gang--all girls and all helmets with pony tails or pig tails. The ring leader of this gang was sportin' blue bows in her gray braids. Sweet! Also memorable about this was that a few minutes after passing the motorcycle gang, I discovered a large bug crawling on my neck. DISGUSTING!

Wheeeeee! Give us a never ending supply of treats, books to look at, and a few DVDs and we are happy!

We stuck Whitney's seat back between Mary and Andrew so that I had a place to sit if I needed to get back and help Annie. We changed that plan on the way home once we figured out that Annie was the easychild and that it was better to have Whit within arms reach. Notice the orange highlighter all over her arms, face and shorts. Should've anticipated that one.

A picnic lunch somewhere in PA made everyone happy.
I guess Whit realized that she'd get in less trouble if we couldn't see what she was up too. Andrew must have agreed with her plan.

I'm so glad you have such a good sense of humor. Whit is your child after all.
