My children can't blow their noses. We've tried for years, 6 years actually, and they just can't get it. At music makers a few weeks ago, a little boy was blowing his nose, I mean REALLY blowing it--he is 3. I found his mom and sought for advice immediately.
She said that she has her kids practice blowing out a candle with their noses to help them get the hang of it. HELLO!?!?! Good idea or what? We tried, I think we need to keep trying. Andrew got the hang of it, these pictures came after we had a severe laugh attack (Mary included) because Mary can't do it.
The only question is, will she ever be able to blow her nose or will she be doomed forever?

I sitting here blowing air through my nose wondering if I could blow out a candle. Not worth finding a match and lighting one at the moment, but I'll let Mary know when I try it, if it works!
What a smart trick. I wish I could have been laughing there with you. I actually wish I could have been there when you thought to ask the mother how she got her kids to blow their noses. I think that is just as funny.
this post had me laughing so hard! CAra, you're the best!
What a good idea (and entertaining)!
