The Day the Music Died

Kuddos to Matt for this song title. It summed up my day pretty nicely on Sunday. The music only died for me, but yes it did. I've been the primary music lady in our ward ever since we moved here 2 1/2 years ago. I've had it in my mind that I'd be doing primary music til Annie graduated to Young Women's. But Saturday I got the call that told me it was over. I'm now in the Relief Society presidency which will be a fun new adventure but a definite change.

I'm excited for something new but must admit, I have LOVED my calling with the primary kids. It's been so fun getting to sing with them every week. Thus far in my 30+ years, I think it is my most favorite calling. I will definitely miss them and miss singing so much each week. Thanks kiddos!

you've been in the ward 2 1/2 years? my time flies. you were an awesome primary music person, but I'm sure you're going to be awesome in RS. Hey and those sisters could use a little more enthuiasm in their singing, maybe the music doesnt' have to totally die ;-)

Who's that kid goofing off in the front row?;) The music didn't die--it just moved across the hall! Thanks for being such a wonderful music leader!

Hey-I want a copy of that picture! :) You did great with the kids. The true test was to see if you could survive those 10-11 year old boys! lol I am looking forward to seeing you in RS on Sunday!

I sure do miss your crazy moves and funny disguises just to make the kids sing! Have fun in RS! Maybe you can bring some of your props in there to liven things up!
