Gimme A "Break"

"Spring Break", that is

Spring Break was the week before Easter. Talk about a fun-filled week with lots going on and little being done to keep the house in any way orderly. This Monday definitely felt like payback for me, but I wouldn't trade the good week.

Let's begin!

Monday, Mary had a highly anticipated playdate with a favorite friend, Sarah. The rest of us went to Valley Falls park and had a little hike and picnic with some friends. The kids had a lot of fun and just enjoyed being outside. This spring has been a bit too cold so outside time hasn't been too enjoyable til recently.

the hiking gang (minus Andrew who was hiding behind the bunch...grrr)

Then Megan came for a visit Monday night. Yea 2 days off work for Passover for her. The weather was dreary so Tuesday we went bowling and to McDonalds--happy children!

Mary and Andrew both began their mastery of holding the ball correctly with their fingers. I'm sure we'll be perfecting this for the next 6 years.

Annie rolled her ball down a cool ramp and everyone else was oh so jealous of her. It's so hard being old and not getting to do toddler things like roll your ball down a ramp.

Funny Whit. She spent her time between bowls, dancing around on the colored tiles in the seating area.

Tuesday night began the making of BIG MOUTH BUNNIES (thank you Gerlachs for this new tradition made from milk cartons and cotton balls).

Happy people hard at work. It was only moments later that we learned Mary is apparently allergic to cotton balls. Her face and arms totally broke out into hives. Benedryl came to the rescue again and we decided that from now on she will make her bunny using chopsticks!

Finished products! Check out those BIG MOUTHS!!!!!

Spring break continued with Megan leaving on Wednesday, a playdate day on Thursday and a trip to Newport on Friday. It's gonna get its own post b/c we took a lot of pictures!
