Good Time

Life tends to be full of lots of randomness at our house. We always seem to be tag-team parents, running every which way alone or with a subset of the kids. A few weekends ago we actually made it to a fun night at the kids' school, all of us, TOGETHER. It was Spirit's Birthday Party, Spirit being the school mascot. Oh the fun you can have with all that!

Annie is sporting a stylish Broccoli hat. Yup, for Spirit's birthday we learned about healthy eating got to try raw broccoli. Happy Birthday Spirit!!! It was fun watching the kids eat it and Andrew and Mary acting like they LOVED it. Yeah right.

Then we got to have a family Zumba lesson--oh my heavens, I laughed so hard. Mary volunteered to be one of the instructor's helpers and was up front doing (or attempting to do) all the moves. We did so many moves and it was so fast. I wish I had a video of Matt trying to do it all. The kids had a blast!

Andrew is making air and my other Broccoli's are trying to keep up. You might even notice Matt in the back doing some serious Zumba-ing (I believe he appears to be sashaying!).

The next day, we were back to splitting up. Andrew had his first baseball practice and Mary had a Girl Scout day at Sturbridge Village. I went with Mary and her troop and we had a nice fun day. It was great being around a bunch of 7 and 8 year old girls to see that mine doesn't really whine, complain or be any more dramatic than the others. Perspective is a refreshing thing.

Oh, if this picture would have only turned out better! I think it's hilarous!!!

Good times!!
