Chronicles of Narnia

Mary and Andrew are WAY into Chronicles of Narnia. We've been reading through the books now, a chapter a night for MONTHS! We are in the last book of the 7 book series (and have only a few chapters left!). I finally caved and let them watch the movie Chronicles of Narnia--The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe on Saturday. It was the entertainment after the snow and while Matt and I fixed the snowblower and attempted to fix the car.

They LOVED the movie (we only had to skip 1 part) and since then have acted out, talked out, and imagined out Narnia all week. By the end of last week they had begun drawing scenery and writing a script for our Family Home Evening where they decided we would act out the play. Monday they were so excited. I believe our play lasted a good 20 minutes and the kids were in heaven!

Here are King Peter (Andrew), Queen Susan/Lucy (Mary), Queen Susan/Lucy (Whit--she kept wanting to change roles). Notice their big coats, from the wardrobe. They even have their gifts from Father Christmas.

Here's the cast including the White Witch who was portrayed by Annie. She called herself the "pretty witch with the pretty dress and pretty crown." Matt and I played the role of all other random characters.

If only we had made a video of this awesome production....
