We got a good snow on Saturday, January 9th. We had one right after Christmas but the wind was brutal and we didn't last long outside. This one seemed perfect. We had finally perfected the 'winter gear' so no one was complaining of cold wrists or snow getting in boots or any of that stuff. The kids were excited to help clean off the car.

Annie looks so cute here. She makes me smile. Last year, we only went in the snow when she was napping--it was a rough age. This year she's been excited to be part of the action.

Whit would eat snow til the cows came home (or til she got cold and wanted to go inside)

Andrew wants to do a bit of everything when we are outside. He loves it!

Mary and Andrew headed to our neighbor's backyard for a little while and tried out snowboarding. Mary was really into actually and had a few successful runs (lots of biffing it too)

I stayed back with Whit and Annie. It was horrible snowman snow, so Whitney wanted to make a Christmas tree. That we could do. They had fun digging through the snow for 'ornaments' (sticks).
A good snow day (plus it was a Saturday, meaning no school closings--my favorite type)
